It all started as a dream back in 1959 when Vassos G. Hadjitheodossiou opened a small customs clearing office in Ammochostos (Famagusta). Inspired by the old town of the nearby ancient Kingdom Salamis the owner named his company after this glorious place.

Since 1959 Salamis has been perfecting an integrated package of expanding travel-related services that puts personal hands-on, customer contact first. Along the way it has built reputation for keeping clients satisfied by keeping always its word. Since 1998 Salamis is a leading organization dealing in the sectors of cruises, travel, tourism, shipping and transport.

Salamis Tours (Holdings) Public Ltd was one of the first companies listed in the Cyprus Stock Exchange.
